Overview

Ben is a tenacious litigator with extensive trial experience representing clients in employment matters, False Claims Act cases, alleged bad faith insurance cases, product liability lawsuits and commercial disputes.  His diverse litigation experience provides him with an in-depth understanding of multiple areas of the law and stages of litigation.  As a former intern for a federal judge, Ben brings a highly valued perspective to his cases that incorporates his insight into judicial decision-making.

Experience

Among recent successes, Ben obtained a unanimous defense verdict for a client after a three-week jury trial with a Plaintiff seeking over tens of millions of dollars in addition to punitive damages. 

He successfully defended a client and obtained a complete defense verdict after a trial on multiple claims arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and its state law companion.

Ben defended against multiple False Claims Act cases including obtaining a complete dismissal of a multimillion dollar case brought by a client's competitor.

He successfully obtained a verdict for a client after a week-long jury trial on a breach of contract claim.

Ben successfully defended against and obtained a complete dismissal for a client on a complex multimillion dollar commercial lawsuit in federal court.

Represented a client in enforcing a restrictive covenant with a prior employee to prevent the disclosure of confidential proprietary trade secrets.

He successfully appealed and reversed a significant monetary judgement against a small, family-owned business.

Obtained a full defense verdict after a trial for a pro bono client on a family law matter.
