03.11.2026

Stinson LLP is pleased to welcome Stewart Mesher and Darlene Ghavimi as partners in the firm's Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Division, further strengthening the firm's Texas bench and enhancing its capabilities in high-stakes patent and trademark litigation.

Mesher and Ghavimi bring decades of combined experience representing clients in complex intellectual property disputes across federal courts and administrative tribunals nationwide. Their practices span patent, trademark and copyright litigation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and matters involving technically sophisticated industries including semiconductors, software, wireless standards, renewable energy systems, pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Together, they expand the firm's ability to guide clients through disputes that carry significant commercial, operational and reputational implications.

"Stewart and Darlene are accomplished trial lawyers whose depth in patent and trademark litigation further strengthens our Intellectual Property & Technology platform," said Joel Leviton, Co-Chair of Stinson's Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Division. "They understand how intellectual property assets drive enterprise value and bring a disciplined, business-focused approach to protecting and enforcing those assets. Their addition strengthens our presence in Texas and positions us to meet growing client demand in technology-driven industries."

Mesher represents companies in complex patent, trademark and copyright disputes, as well as unfair competition and domain name matters. He also advises on intellectual property portfolio management and enforcement strategy. With experience in serving as in-house counsel to a multinational semiconductor company, he brings a practical understanding of how intellectual property litigation intersects with licensing, commercialization and long-term brand protection. His background in engineering, finance and marketing informs his strategic approach to protecting enterprise value.

Ghavimi represents clients in high-stakes intellectual property disputes in federal courts nationwide and before the International Trade Commission. She handles patent, trademark and copyright litigation, as well as trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and inter partes review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Ghavimi manages matters from early case assessment through trial and post-grant proceedings, aligning litigation strategy with clients' broader business objectives.

Mesher and Ghavimi join an Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Division recognized by the World Trademark Review's WTR 1000 and supported by more than 25 attorneys licensed before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, reinforcing its ability to deliver comprehensive, trial-ready counsel to clients navigating complex innovation-driven markets.
