Stinson Boosts Presence in Phoenix and Florida, Continues Lateral Growth with Four Litigation Partners
Stinson LLP is excited to welcome four new partners in Phoenix and Florida, continuing its lateral growth momentum and bolstering its class action practice. The Phoenix-based partners are Dan W. Goldfine, Jamie Halavais, and Claire E.F. Grimes, with Angelina Gonzalez joining the firm in Florida. These attorneys have robust experience in class action defense, antitrust, investigations, insurance disputes and white-collar defense.
'We're excited to welcome these outstanding trial lawyers to Stinson and continue our growth in these markets," Stinson Managing Partner Allison Murdock said. "They are excellent lawyers with an outstanding track record in large, complex class action matters. Their experience in complex litigation, commitment to client service, and entrepreneurial mindset directly align with our strategic goals."
Goldfine, Halavais, Grimes and Gonzalez are widely recognized for their innovative approach to class action defense, particularly in developing strategies to defeat class certification in matters involving significant financial exposure. Their work has spanned cases with more than $50 billion at issue, drawing on a deep understanding of clients' underlying business transactions, industry economics and the procedural standards governing class actions, resulting in more than 70 successful defeats of class certification in the last 15 years.
"The existing Stinson class action team is considered by many to be the best class action defense team in the U.S.," Goldfine said. "Stinson's collaborative approach and focus on practical solutions made this a natural fit for our practice and clients. The firm has the depth, structure and culture needed to support sophisticated class action defense on a national scale, and we are excited to work with these great lawyers."
"Our new partners have substantial trial and litigation experience that will further strengthen and enhance our reputation as a go-to firm on big-ticket litigation," said Jeffrey Goulder, the Phoenix Office Managing Partner. "These partners are extremely talented lawyers who bring additional blue-chip clients to the firm, and who are completely aligned with our culture of teamwork and mutual respect. Stinson nationally is the strongest it has ever been, and with this combination, the Phoenix office is too."
