Overview
Drawing on more than 15 years of courtroom experience, Jamie advises clients facing alleged class actions, complex commercial litigation, and business-related disputes. Her work includes defending claims for breach of contract and violations of various state and federal laws and regulations, as well as addressing the wide range of issues that arise in the ordinary course of business.
In addition to her litigation practice, Jamie represents companies and individuals in government and internal investigations involving allegations of misconduct. She has defended clients in matters implicating federal securities laws, antitrust statutes, and the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO).
Jamie has represented clients in state and federal courts across numerous jurisdictions and has appeared before regulatory and enforcement agencies, including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Department of Justice, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and the Offices of Inspector General. Her experience across forums enables her to guide clients through complex legal and regulatory landscapes with clarity and confidence.
Experience
Defended clients against alleged class action antitrust claims in multiple states, obtaining dismissals with prejudice at trial level which were affirmed by the Circuit Court of Appeals.
Guided leading publicly traded internet company through investigations by Department of Justice (DOJ) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and class action and derivative litigation relating to backdating of stock option grants.
Represented large investment advisors in relation to class action securities litigation and SEC investigations.
Represented large commercial lender as plaintiff in multiple multi-million-dollar commercial foreclosure actions.
Represented high-net-worth individual and family businesses in action for ejectment and breach of contract.
Served as first chair in arbitration to expunge Central Registration Depository record of former bank executive and judicial confirmation of same.
Represented board of directors of large bank in internal investigation relating to shareholder demand letter.
Provided pro bono support to Criminal Justice Act client, obtaining reduced sentence in argument before federal judge.
Assisted unaccompanied minor asylum applicants in immigration proceedings before immigration court and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS)/Department of Homeland Security.
