Chuck Hatfield Named to Appellate Lawyer "POWER LIST"

Stinson LLP is pleased to announce that Missouri Lawyers Weekly recently named Partner Chuck Hatfield to its "POWER LIST" for appellate law. The honor recognizes 30 of Missouri's most powerful appellate attorneys who have defended or opposed notable jury verdicts and helped shape the law by setting important precedents.

The publication recognized Chuck as one of Missouri's top lawyers on the Missouri Constitution and election law, stating that "he often litigates the fairness of ballot summaries, helping to shape how proposed laws and constitutional amendments are presented to the voting public. Examples range from last year’s proposal that undid Missouri’s attempt at gerrymandering reform to a 2012 initiative that tried to alter the Nonpartisan Court Plan."

Chuck draws on 25 years’ experience litigating and negotiating very high profile cases to help offer clients a broad and insightful perspective on Missouri's government and judiciary. He has personally handled more than a dozen major cases before the Missouri Supreme Court and regularly appears before trial and appellate courts on both state and federal levels. He has represented dozens of clients in Missouri’s initiative petition process, writing proposed changes to Missouri law and litigating initiative petition and signature challenges. Chuck also leads Stinson's Coronavirus Task Force, where he provides guidance to clients nationwide on matters related to the pandemic.
