Overview
Phil works closely with inventors and in-house counsel to guide applications through every stage of the patent process. He leverages his background in chemical engineering to advise on a broad range of technical matters. He also performs due diligence, including patentability and infringement analyses, and has experience preparing and prosecuting design patent and trademark applications.
Experience
With extensive experience representing both large corporations and small startups, Phil has drafted hundreds of original patent applications in diverse industries including implantable medical devices, batteries, artificial intelligence, medical imaging, aerospace, vehicles, computer software, flexible packaging, wireless communications, and video conferencing. Phil has also drafted dozens of appeal briefs that have successfully overcome USPTO rejections, resulting in granted patents.
