Colin's clients count on him to protect their innovations and brands and defend them against claims of infringement and misappropriation.
Overview
A registered patent attorney, Colin applies his extensive knowledge and experience in patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret matters to help his clients protect their most valuable intellectual property, avoid the intellectual property rights of others, and defend against claims of infringement and misappropriation.
Colin has extensive experience representing clients in patent, trademark, trade dress, trade secret, and copyright litigation in federal courts throughout the U.S. and before the administrative tribunals within the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Colin is a rare triple threat in his field. He began his legal career as a full-time civil litigation defense attorney where he learned to manage every aspect of his cases. That background in combination with his solid foundation in patent and trademark prosecution and counseling sets him apart from most intellectual property practitioners and litigators.
His patent practice is directed at a variety of different mechanical and chemical inventions with specific focus on consumer products and industrial processes and equipment. His trademark practice includes managing international trademark portfolios and counseling clients on the adoption, use, and registration of valuable trademark assets.
