Ashley thrives in complex litigation.

Ashley's practice focuses on complex litigation, including state and nationwide class actions, consumer protection actions, environmental torts, product liability actions, and commercial litigation. She has been the lead associate in the representation of manufacturers in numerous state and nationwide class action lawsuits.

Ashley is a strong advocate whose passion for the law shines at all stages of litigation, including when drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, appellate briefs, and memorandums regarding complex litigation, arguing motions, and conducting depositions and examinations of witnesses at trial.

Ashley's attention to detail is key to her success when conducting fact investigation, managing and analyzing large amounts of discovery, resolving discovery disputes, researching and reviewing corporate and financial compliance practices, and participating in comprehensive case strategy.

Her additional experience interning with the Honorable Judge Kays of the Federal District Court for the Western District of Missouri and in-house at a national financial services company gives her the ability to look at her clients' cases from a variety of perspectives.

Ashley has experience as the lead associate representing clients against state and nationwide class action claims brought under numerous state consumer protection laws across the country, including California's tripartite Consumer Legal Remedies Act (CLRA), False Advertising Law (FAL), and Unfair Competition Law (UCL), Missouri's Merchandising Practices Act (MMPA), and New York's General Business Law (GBL) §§ 349 and 350. Ashley has led briefing that secured dismissal of a number of consumer class actions alleging false advertising and deceptive practices under these state laws.

Ashley represents clients facing state and nationwide class actions related to:

Use or presence of Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

Presence of trace chemicals in products.

False or misleading affirmative representations on consumer products.

Noncompliance with state and federal regulations such as the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FDCA).

Ashley also has experience with the evolving data privacy actions including actions bringing claims for:

Invasion of privacy under state constitutions (i.e. California).

Violations of state privacy acts including California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA) and Computer Data Access and Fraud Act (CDAFA).

Violations of state common law such as intrusion upon seclusion, unjust enrichment, trespass to chattels, fraud, and misrepresentation.

Ashley has successful trial experience ranging from single day and multi-day bench trials to a three-week jury trial. For example, Ashley represents an aerospace corporation in a series of cases related to alleged environmental contamination. Ashley was an integral part of the trial team, contributing significantly to securing a complete defense verdict for claims of negligence and punitive damages after a three-week jury trial.
