Ashley thrives in complex litigation.

Overview

Ashley's practice focuses on complex litigation, including state and nationwide class actions, consumer protection actions, environmental torts, product liability actions, and commercial litigation. She has been the lead associate in the representation of manufacturers in numerous state and nationwide class action lawsuits. 

Ashley is a strong advocate whose passion for the law shines at all stages of litigation including, when drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, appellate briefs, and memorandum regarding complex litigation, arguing motions, and conducting depositions and examinations of witnesses at trial. Ashley's attention to detail is key to her success when conducting fact investigation, managing and analyzing large amounts of discovery, resolving discovery disputes, researching and reviewing corporate and financial compliance practices, and participating in comprehensive case strategy.

Her additional experience interning with the Honorable Judge Kays of the Federal District Court for the Western District of Missouri and in-house at a national financial services company gives her the ability to look at her clients' cases from a variety of perspectives.

Experience

Ashley has experience as the lead associate representing clients against state and nationwide class action claims brought under numerous state consumer protection laws across the country, including California’s tripartite Consumer Legal Remedies Act (CLRA), False Advertising Law (FAL), and Unfair Competition Law (UCL), Missouri’s Merchandising Practices Act (MMPA), and New York’s General Business Law §§ 349 and 350. Ashley has led briefing that secured dismissal of a number of consumer class actions alleging false advertising and deceptive practices under these state laws.

As the lead discovery associate on several complex cases, Ashley manages data collection, oversees teams of attorneys that analyze the data, and produces documents. 

Ashley serves on Stinson's Pro Bono Committee and is passionate about helping the community. She recently participated in a trial on behalf of her client who was wrongfully convicted. She also has served as a Lead for Missouri and Kansas non-partisan Election Protection since 2018.
