Stinson Represents One North Development LLC in North Kansas City Grocery Store Development

Stinson LLP served as legal counsel to One North Development LLC in connection with a purchase agreement and development agreement with the City of North Kansas City for a full-service grocery store.

The agreements provide for the acquisition and development of a grocery store site within the 64-acre One North redevelopment area and advance the city's long-standing efforts to bring a full-service grocery store to the former Superfund site. The development is expected to include additional restaurant and retail spaces as part of the continued buildout of the One North district.

The transaction includes public incentives supporting construction and operations, as well as tax increment financing and related development approvals.

The team advised the client on structuring and documenting the purchase agreement, development agreement, development approvals, and public incentives, including Tax Increment Financing, Chapter 100 Tax Abatement, and Community Improvement District sales tax.
