Stinson Enters Southeast Region with Opening of Tampa Office
Stinson LLP has added two new partners in Florida and will open a new office in downtown Tampa this summer, establishing a physical presence in the Sunshine State as the firm expands its national footprint.
“Our commitment to meeting our clients' needs and delivering the highest level of client service drove our decision to open an office in Tampa and welcome Partners Marc Weintraub and Stephen Putnoki-Higgins,” Stinson Managing Partner Allison Murdock said. “As we grow strategically in 2023 and beyond, we know that opening a Tampa office will be a catalyst for more exciting opportunities to come.”
Weintraub and Putnoki-Higgins are joining Stinson Partner Todd Phelps, who has been splitting his time between Minnesota and Florida for a number of years. Phelps has extensive experience in commercial real estate, private and family businesses and consumer finance regulations.
“For several years now, Todd has been committed to client service in Florida, and we are thrilled he will be part of our expansion. With the addition of Marc and Stephen, Stinson has a unique opportunity for growth in real estate, mergers and acquisitions, complex commercial litigation and tax, trust and estates,” Murdock said.
Weintraub is a seasoned corporate attorney and business executive, adept at representing clients negotiating multimillion-dollar investment and loan transactions involving domestic and international parties. His practice also includes substantial work in energy transactions, project finance, economic development and real estate development. Putnoki-Higgins guides his clients with a combination of compassion and cutting-edge strategy, protecting hard-earned family wealth through careful estate and tax planning. With a Master of Laws in Taxation, Putnoki-Higgins focuses his legal practice on the tax, estate planning, business planning and estate administration needs of sophisticated individuals and their families.
“Marc and Stephen are great attorneys who share our firm's values," Murdock said. “We look forward to working with them to better serve our existing Florida clients and further grow our Tampa presence."
In addition to Weintraub and Putnoki-Higgins, three other attorneys will be joining Stinson in Florida: Of Counsel Kurt Gleeson and associates Gregory Payton and April Petrosino.
“Our team of experienced, talented legal professionals are committed to bringing high-quality representation and service to our clients in Tampa and throughout Florida,” Weintraub said. “Our Tampa team will keep growing to address the increasing demand for legal services as clients focus on emerging opportunities in Florida.”
Stinson will lease offices in downtown Tampa, Florida, featuring multiple conference rooms and approximately 20 offices with additional square footage available for future growth.
With the establishment of a Tampa office, Stinson now has 13 offices spanning 11 locations. Stinson LLP collaborates with clients ranging from individuals and privately held enterprises to national companies and international public corporations.
