Stinson Adds Real Estate and Corporate Partner Bret Reed to Dallas Office
Stinson LLP is pleased to welcome Bret Reed as a partner in the firm's Real Estate & Public Finance Practice Division. Based in the firm's Dallas office, Reed brings extensive experience advising clients on sophisticated real estate and corporate transactions, with particular depth in health care real estate. His background as both outside counsel and a former chief legal officer of a national health care real estate company gives him a distinct understanding of the legal, operational and investment considerations that shape complex transactions.
Reed advises clients on acquisitions, dispositions, development, financings, recapitalizations and joint ventures, with experience structuring transactions involving private equity firms, investment managers and health care real estate operators. His work spans the full lifecycle of real estate investments, from initial structuring and development through leasing, financing and disposition.
"Bret brings an impressive combination of transactional experience and deep knowledge of the health care real estate industry," said Todd LaSala, chair of Stinson's Real Estate & Public Finance Practice Division. "His experience in health care real estate and sophisticated joint venture transactions will be a valuable addition to our Dallas office and our broader real estate and corporate practices."
Reed has structured programmatic joint ventures and other investment vehicles with leading private equity firms, real estate investment firms and financial institutions. His experience includes transactions involving health care real estate portfolios, operating platforms and development projects, as well as hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, rehabilitation facilities and other medical facilities.
"I'm excited to join Stinson's Real Estate & Public Finance practice and bring my experience representing owners, operators and investors to the firm's clients," said Reed. "Stinson's depth across real estate and corporate matters provides an excellent platform for advising clients on sophisticated transactions, and I look forward to contributing to the firm's continued growth in Dallas."
Reed earned his J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Arizona. He is admitted to practice in Virginia, California and Texas.
