Aalok Sharma Featured in the Minneapolis Business Journal as New Chair of the ABA Sports Division

Attorney Aalok Sharma's recent selection as chair of the American Bar Association's Sports Division and his growing sports and esports practice were featured in the Minneapolis Business Journal. Aalok discussed his role in the division, the unique needs of his clients and where the industry is headed.

He commented that as a former NCAA Division I athlete and all-around sports enthusiast, this is a natural fit for him. "It doesn't feel like work when it's something you actually enjoy," he said.

Aalok will oversee management of the division, which advises law firms and holds conferences and other events addressing business issues in the sports world, such as sports unions, teams, leagues, venue management, sports data, esports and legalized sports wagering.

In his practice, Aalok is trusted by sports businesses and technology companies to provide counsel in matters relating to the future of sports, including esports, sports tech, legalized sports wagering and integrity. He is frequently involved in bet-the-company litigation, and has significant experience in business litigation, construction litigation and products liability litigation.
