Overview
Zach brings a deep understanding of e-Discovery issues from both a legal and technological perspective, and brings this understanding to his clients' complex challenges in litigation, investigations, and other matters.
Zach formulates well-organized, defensible strategies for document preservation, collection, review and production. He serves as a regular resource for clients and colleagues on all aspects of discovery, including technology-assisted review. He also advises clients in matters involving computer and mobile forensics. Zach regularly presents and conducts trainings on e-Discovery and litigation technology issues.
Experience
Zach has represented clients in responding to formal inquiries, document requests and lawsuits involving state and federal agencies.
Zach has briefed and argued numerous proceedings relating to complex discovery issues, including forensic examination, privilege log, and document collection issues.
He has acted as national e-Discovery counsel and discovery counsel for clients and regularly serves as a designated ESI liaison in litigated matters involving Technology Assisted Review.
He regularly advises clients in matters involving forensic collection and analysis of computers and mobile devices.
He has led discovery efforts in large-scale environmental compliance cases involving OSHA, New Source Review under the Clean Air Act and other compliance claims.
Zach advises clients and drafts company policies relating to technology and litigation, including legal holds, records retention, mobile device usage, digital forensic investigation and company technology policies.
He has formulated and implemented document collection strategies and protocols, including conducting witness and collection interviews.
