Zach has a deep understanding of highly-complex litigation issues from both a legal and technological perspective, and brings this understanding to his clients' complex challenges in litigation, investigations, and other matters. Zach is at the forefront of emerging issues on e-Discovery and clients rely on Zach's counsel on these issues in all facets of high-stakes litigation.

Zach formulates well-organized, defensible strategies for document preservation, collection, review and production. He regularly briefs and argues discovery motions, and serves as a valued resource for clients and colleagues on all aspects of discovery, including technology-assisted review. He also advises clients in matters involving computer and mobile forensics. Zach frequently presents and conducts trainings on e-Discovery and litigation technology issues.

In addition to his e-Discovery work, Zach plays a lead role litigating high-value complex disputes, particularly within the field of bankruptcy and appellate practice, and also has worked extensively with expert witnesses.


Zach has represented clients in litigation, investigations, and inquiries involving numerous government agencies.

Zach has briefed and argued numerous proceedings relating to complex discovery issues, including forensic examination, privilege log, and document collection issues.

Zach has successfully led and co-led appeals in United States District Courts and Circuit Courts of Appeal.

He has acted as national e-Discovery counsel for clients in designing and implementing scalable strategies across multiple related cases.

He regularly advises clients in matters involving forensic collection and analysis of computers and mobile devices.

Served as lead e-Discovery counsel and designated ESI liaison in complex antitrust matters with extensive negotiation, implementation, and validation of Technology-Assisted Review (TAR) processes.

He has led discovery efforts in large-scale environmental compliance cases involving OSHA, New Source Review under the Clean Air Act and other compliance claims.

Zach advises clients on company strategies and policies relating to technology and litigation, including legal holds, mobile device usage, litigation preparedness, digital forensic investigation and company technology policies.

He has formulated, implemented and defended a variety of document collection strategies and protocols, including conducting witness and collection interviews.
