Bill assists his clients in navigating the complexities of financial services and class action matters.

Following law school, Bill gained invaluable experience working as a law clerk for the Honorable James B. Loken of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit in Minneapolis. Bill was previously a summer associate with the firm, where he drafted legal memoranda on antitrust, securities fraud and employment matters, and wrote a winning appellate brief in a family law case. He also worked with the City of Chicago in the employment litigation division.

Bill has represented and continues to represent more than a dozen lenders in complex lawsuits brought by large purchasers of mortgage loans, seeking indemnification in connection with the sale of hundreds of millions of dollars in mortgage loans to RMBS trusts and government sponsored entities.

He has represented and continues to represent insurers in putative class action litigation asserting claims challenging the insurers' methods of determining the actual cash value of damaged property.

He also recently represented a taxpayer in a multi-day trial before the U.S. Tax Court.

Bill conducted corporate internal investigations in response to whistleblower complaints and allegations of employee misconduct.

He represented a reinsurance broker in the prosecution of claims for conversion, tortious interference and civil theft arising from the diversion of brokerage for reinsurance placements, leading to a $3.9 million verdict after a one-week jury trial.
