Nicole is dedicated to assisting clients in complex real estate, finance and tax credit transactions.

Overview

Nicole works with clients including investors, community development entities, developers and lenders to structure and finance tax credit deals. She has experience in New Markets Tax Credits (NMTCs), Historic Tax Credits (HTCs), and (renewable energy) Investment Tax Credit (ITCs).

Nicole has experience financing the development and redevelopment of various NMTC projects in low-income communities including community centers, distribution centers, hotels, entertainment venues, commercial spaces, and mixed-use developments. Nicole has assisted investors and lenders in financing HTC transactions and ITC transactions and is skilled in drafting, due diligence review, and managing deal closing procedures.

Before joining the firm as an associate, Nicole worked at Stinson as a summer associate where she worked across industries including tax credit and incentive finance, intellectual property, business litigation, and employment and labor. She also interned for the Missouri State Public Defender's office where she gained valuable legal experience.

Experience

Assisted in the representation of an investor in a $17.5 million NMTC investment to develop a janitorial and sanitary products distribution complex in Missouri.

Represented a sponsor non-profit corporation in an NMTC financing used to develop a mixed-use, retail, commercial, and co-working space in St. Louis, Missouri.

Assisted an ITC investor in a renewable energy (solar) transaction to finance a ground-mount solar facility in Maine.

Assisted an HTC investor and lender in providing $12 million to finance the redevelopment of a historic building into an apartment complex in St. Louis, Missouri.
