Overview

Marshall concentrates his practice on litigation, with a focus on employment, commercial, and sports-related disputes. He is committed to fostering strong relationships and prioritizes a collaborative, detail-oriented approach when providing legal support.  

Marshall joined the firm after serving as a Stinson summer associate in 2023.

Marshall has experience working on matters involving major sports organizations, advising on eligibility issues, state and local regulatory compliance, and policy development related to Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) rights. He assisted a national hockey league with bylaws and the interaction with NCAA regulations. He has also worked on litigation involving the Minnesota State High School League's transfer and eligibility rules.

Marshall has worked on matters related to employee privacy, breach of contract disputes, and construction litigation as well as counseling clients on employment-related legal issues.

In addition to his litigation practice, Marshall maintains an active pro bono practice focused on commutations and family law matters.

Prior to law school, Marshall served as a play-by-play broadcaster in Minor League Baseball, including a stint with the affiliate of the Minnesota Twins in Fort Myers, Florida.  

Outside of his legal practice, Marshall enjoys traveling, country music, and watching Minnesota and USC sports.
