Karl advises institutional real estate developers, investors, and lenders in complex regional and national commercial real estate transactions, including government incentive programs and construction financing.
Adept at acquisition, disposition, leasing and financing transactions, Karl brings a depth of experience working with leading borrowers and lenders involved in commercial real estate transactions. He overlays his foundational knowledge with the ability to implement local, state and federal economic development incentives to finance commercial real estate development projects.
Experience
Prior to joining the firm, Karl worked as underwriting counsel for First American Title Insurance Company in Kansas City, MO. He served as the principal commercial underwriting resource for Kansas and Missouri and was responsible for handling local and national underwriting matters for a wide variety of commercial real estate transactions, giving him significant insights into the risks and rewards of commercial real estate finance.
Karl supports the firm’s commitment to diversity through his involvement in Global FC, a local nonprofit that uses soccer as a vehicle to bridge diverse cultures, and through the firm's pro bono matters and partnership with Legal Aid of Western Missouri.
