John's emphasis on litigating intellectual property disputes and background in engineering makes him an asset to his clients.

Overview

John practices all aspects of intellectual property, with an emphasis on litigating patent, trademark, and trade secret disputes in U.S. district courts in Missouri and throughout the country. John also has extensive experience challenging and defending the validity of patents in Inter Parte Review proceedings (IPRs) before the USPTO. Representative technologies that John has practiced in include: bio-energy, carbon capture, electroplating, metallurgical processing, plastics and materials, and mechanical devices.

Prior to law school, John gained invaluable technical experience working as a manufacturing and process engineer for General Motors.
