Emily is a versatile litigator who thrives in high-stakes, complex disputes, combining sharp legal analysis with a collaborative, client-focused approach.

Overview

She represents clients across the country in complex class actions and commercial disputes, including matters involving antitrust and product liability issues. Emily has experience handling all phases of litigation in state and federal courts, including discovery, motions practice, and trial preparation, and is valued for her ability to manage complicated legal and factual issues while keeping client objectives front and center.

In addition to her trial court practice, Emily has significant appellate experience, having briefed complex legal issues before the Minnesota Supreme Court, Minnesota Court of Appeals and North Dakota Supreme Court. She also assists clients responding to subpoenas and information requests from federal and state agencies, drawing on her experience with government-facing matters to help clients navigate regulatory scrutiny and investigations.

Experience

Member of team that protected a corporate client against DOJ charges following a multi-year grand jury investigation involving alleged violations of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act and export control provisions.

Assisted in representing a defendant in multiple nationwide class actions and related state litigation involving alleged violations of the Sherman Antitrust Act and state consumer protection laws.

Assisted in filing a successful habeas corpus petition on behalf of a pro bono client and has also assisted clients with asylum and naturalization matters. Successfully briefed and argued a pro bono criminal appeal before the Minnesota Court of Appeals.

Formerly served as a law clerk for the Minnesota Court of Appeals, where she assisted in drafting, editing, and reviewing opinions in criminal, civil, and administrative matters and conducted legal research and analysis across a range of subject areas, including intellectual property, litigation, and construction law.
