Press Release
05.12.2026

Stinson LLP Partner Heidi Wicker, in her role as President of Women in Housing & Finance, Inc. (WHF), moderated a fireside chat with Federal Reserve Board of Governors Vice Chair for Supervision Michelle W. Bowman during the organization's 2026 Annual Symposium in Washington, DC. The conversation was recorded and published online by C-SPAN.

Building on Vice Chair for Supervision Bowman's opening remarks on the Federal Reserve's efforts to combat fraud in payments, Wicker commenced the discussion by highlighting the complexity of consumer fraud and the importance of coordinated regulatory approaches across agencies' industry participants. She guided the conversation around how federal and state authorities, along with private-sector stakeholders, are working together to address increasingly sophisticated fraud schemes affecting consumers and financial institutions.

Wicker and Bowman also discussed broader themes of regulatory coordination, including how institutions operating across multiple supervisory frameworks engage with evolving policy priorities and compliance expectations.

WHF is a nonpartisan organization that brings together professionals from the housing and financial services sector to engage on policy, innovation and leadership development. As President, Wicker oversees the organization's programming, including its Annual Symposium and other forums on industry dialogue and professional engagement.
