Stinson Adds International Trade Attorney Ogbo Ossai to Dallas Office
Stinson LLP is pleased to welcome Ogbo Ossai as of counsel in the firm's international practice group. Based in the firm's Dallas office, Ossai brings more than 20 years of experience advising companies on international trade compliance, helping clients navigate complex U.S. import and export requirements while managing risk and supporting global business objectives.
Ossai counsels clients on a broad range of import and export compliance matters, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), economic sanctions administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), U.S. antiboycott requirements and related customs regulations. He works with clients across industries to develop compliance programs, conduct internal reviews, manage voluntary self-disclosures and address day-to-day trade issues involving federal agencies responsible for export controls and customs enforcement.
"Ogbo's technical skills and extensive experience advising companies on international trade compliance further strengthens our international practice and expands the depth of counsel we provide clients navigating today's global markets," said Elsa Manzanares, co-chair of the firm's international practice group. "His practical approach to complex trade and customs matters will be a tremendous asset to clients doing business in international markets."
Ossai also advises clients on import matters involving tariff classification, customs valuation, country of origin requirements, antidumping and countervailing duties, and other customs procedures. Drawing on decades of experience, he helps clients translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business solutions that strengthen compliance programs and support cross-border operations.
"I am excited to join Stinson's international team," said Ossai. "I was drawn to the firm's collaborative culture and strong international platform, and I look forward to helping clients navigate the evolving international trade environment with practical, business-focused counsel."
Ossai earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law Houston, and his M.S. and B.S. from the University of Tennessee. He is admitted to practice law in Texas.
