Cardona Vinasco Featured by Twin Cities Diversity in Practice for Women's History Month
Stinson LLP attorney Michelle Cardona Vinasco was recently featured in Twin Cities Diversity in Practice's (TCDIP) Women's History Month series, "Rooted in Purpose: Journeys of Women of Color Strengthening Our Legal Community." The feature highlights Cardona Vinasco's career journey, her commitment to mentorship and community, and her ideas for advancing women of color in the legal profession.
As a member of the TCDIP board of directors, Cardona Vinasco reflects on the importance of community and mentorship in navigating the legal profession as a woman of color. "Being the first in my family to go through the secondary education process and become a practicing attorney in the U.S., there were times when I envied folks who had family or close friends who were attorneys or judges who could provide mentorship," she said. "Seeking to find that sense of community, support and a place where I could be my genuine self, I participated in community events and through my involvement with TCDIP I have met people that I now consider invaluable mentors and friends."
The feature also highlights Cardona Vinasco's professional milestones and dedication to giving back. She shared that after several years of practice, she reached a point of confidence and comfort in her abilities, which allowed her to take on new challenges, expand her practice, and become more involved in community and academic initiatives. Among her accomplishments, Cardona Vinasco co-wrote a chapter for the 2025 Minnesota Real Estate Purchase and Sale Deskbook on distressed real estate property and was elected co-chair of the Emerging Leaders Group of TCDIP.
Cardona Vinasco's practice focuses on commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, land use and zoning, and energy and environmental law. She helps clients navigate complex real estate transactions, emphasizing thorough analysis, practical solutions, and strong client relationships.
