Byron Starns Selected to Receive 2021 Minnesota Icon Award

Stinson LLP is pleased to announce that Byron Starns has been selected to receive the 2021 Minnesota ICON award by Finance & Commerce  and Minnesota Lawyer. The award recognizes business and legal leaders who have had successful and lengthy careers and who also have been active in their communities and in mentoring the next generation. Starns is a seasoned trial lawyer, handling litigation and administrative proceedings for clients in mining, energy and other regulated industries and business clients faced with intricate environmental issues. Starns is known for leading teams of experts and attorneys and excels at navigating complex regulations and developing strategies needed to resolve environmental, regulatory and business disputes.

Starns' accomplished career includes environmental enforcement and cost recovery suits, contested utility and energy matters, major facility permitting proceedings, consumer protection and business regulation enforcement proceedings before state and federal agencies, construction and design professional liability cases, commercial and intellectual property disputes, antitrust class actions, product liability cases and condemnation proceedings.

Starns, and 20 other ICON award recipients, will be honored at a celebration and networking event Dec. 9 at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis in downtown Minneapolis.
