Bismarck Attorney Haley Finch Reflects on the Lasting Power of Professional Connections in The Legal Intelligencer
Stinson LLP attorney Haley Finch authored a column for The Legal Intelligencer, “A Connection Goes Beyond Three Years,” in which she reflects on how meaningful professional and personal relationships have shaped her legal career and continue to support her growth as a young lawyer.
Finch shares her experience growing up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and her decision to attend law school in the United States, where she focused on building connections through student organizations, extracurricular activities, and community involvement. Those relationships, she notes, evolved into mentorships, leadership opportunities, and ultimately helped lead her to her current role at Stinson.
“The majority of my valuable professional and personal experiences started with a positive connection,” Finch writes. “As a young lawyer, never underestimate a connection, professional or personal, because you never know where it will lead.”
She also highlights her involvement with the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division and her experience building connections across Stinson’s offices and practice groups. Finch emphasizes that intentional outreach and engagement, both within the firm and through professional organizations, have created opportunities for collaboration, skill development and meaningful professional growth.
Finch focuses her practice on business litigation, assisting clients with complex disputes across a wide range of industries.
