11.30.2022

Stinson LLP Partners Brittany BarrientosAimee Guzman Davenport and Kyle Foote have been named to the inaugural Missouri Lawyers Weekly Environmental and Energy Law 2022 "POWER LIST."

This edition of the "POWER LIST" examines 32 of Missouri's most powerful attorneys in environmental and energy law.

Barrientos has significant experience assisting clients with regulatory requirements arising under the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, solid and hazardous waste laws, Superfund, OSHA, TSCA and PHMSA, as well as state and local environmental laws and regulations. She routinely works with clients navigating OSHA and EPA matters, including both compliance with regulatory obligations and defense of agency actions. Her extensive understanding of environmental, health and safety laws across the regulatory, transactional and litigation spectrums allow her to find well-rounded and practical solutions to complex issues.

Davenport co-chairs Stinson's Environmental practice group and Infrastructure Task Force.  Her practice involves an in-depth understanding of administrative agencies and the legal authority under which they operate under the Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, Clean Air Act, and National Environmental Policy Act. She assists public and private clients in resolving environmental matters related to rulemaking, permitting and enforcement. Davenport's understanding of administrative process also allows her to navigate complex and controversial issues and develop effective strategies for relief both inside and outside of litigation.

Foote blends state and federal environmental experience and knowledge of regulatory compliance strategies, governmental programs and enforcement efforts to advise on contaminated properties, facility operations, and business and real estate ventures in the complex arena of environmental law. Representing companies subject to federal and state environmental agency regulations and enforcement actions, Foote performs critical environmental due diligence and evaluation of the physical conditions, operations and future development options, develops creative solutions and advises clients on liability exposure and risk mitigation strategies. Foote also counsels clients on environmental compliance and permitting matters for wind and solar renewable energy projects throughout the Midwest and Mountain West, including analysis and strategies for compliance with regulations involving threatened and endangered species, critical habitat, wetlands, stormwater, flood plains, cultural resources and nuisance-related issues.
