Stinson LLP Partners Bob Bain and David Kim have been voted to St. Louis Small Business Monthly's "Best IP Attorneys" list in their Best in Business 2023 series.

The Best in Business list is a compilation of reader-nominated professionals from multiple industries within the St. Louis metropolitan area. Bain and Kim are among 25 Intellectual Property attorneys who were voted the best in St. Louis.

Bain is a patent and intellectual property attorney with experience in computer software and hardware, electronics, consumer products, industrial automation, micro-electromechanical machines, biomedical equipment and business methods, and other fields too. He prepares and prosecutes U.S. and international patents in electrical, computer, mechanical and related fields. He guides his clients through complex intellectual property issue concerning freedom-to-operate, infringement, due diligence and licensing to efficiently patent and safeguard his clients' intellectual property. Bain also presents at seminars and trade conferences and is frequently quoted on matters of patent law and business.

Kim draws on his experience as an IP lawyer to help clients navigate complex legal issues, identify business opportunities, protect their IP and mitigate risk. He advises on IP and technology-related issues across the broad spectrum of litigation and business law, with a focus on obtaining patents for technology, manufacturing and consumer goods companies. A former patent examiner, he offers a unique perspective to strategically direct prosecution to cover competitor products, develop licensing opportunities and strengthen enforceability.
