Attorney Lucas Schneider Publishes on Insurance and Bankruptcies in the ABI Journal

Denver attorney Lucas Schneider authored an article on the intersection of insurance and bankruptcy in the January issue of the ABI Journal. Lucas covered the uptick in bankruptcies due to the COVID-19 pandemic and what it means for insurance companies, including as creditors and insurers.

When it comes to bankruptcy, Lucas writes, "The most pragmatic initial considerations for an insurer should be: What will happen with policies that are now assets of the estate?; what does the debtor propose for orders to administer the policies?; and how will third-party and insurer claims, premiums and deductibles be addressed in the Bankruptcy Code and orders?"
