Zak A. Kuchler

Zak works with public and private-sector employers on a broad range of employment litigation, regulatory matters and workplace-related disputes. His experience includes defending employers against claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, employment agreements, employment-related torts and wrongful termination. He also works with clients on employee restrictive covenant agreements and related enforcement matters.

Zak regularly represents employers in employment-related investigations, administrative proceedings and disputes before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Arizona Attorney General's Civil Rights Division, the Industrial Commission of Arizona and the National Labor Relations Board. He also has experience representing clients in alternative dispute resolution forums.

In addition to his litigation practice, Zak works with employers across industries on a range of workplace matters. He counsels clients on employee hiring, discipline, performance management, terminations, leaves of absence, workplace accommodations, wage and hour compliance and other personnel issues. Zak partners with clients to assess legal and business risks, develop practical strategies, and navigate the evolving employment landscape affecting today's employers.

Zak also maintains a proactive employment counseling practice focused on helping employers minimize risk and promote effective workplace practices. He assists clients with employment policy and handbook development and review, workplace investigations, management training and other compliance initiatives designed to address workplaces challenges before they become disputes.
