Robyn is a trusted problem-solver who delivers strategic, results-driven counsel in insolvency and restructuring matters.

Overview

With deep insolvency and restructuring experience at both the bankruptcy court and appellate court levels, Robyn guides clients through pivotal moments —preserving value in corporate restructurings, navigating complex bankruptcy litigation, advising fiduciaries, and liquidating estate assets in an efficient and cost-effective manner for the benefit of estate creditors.

Throughout her career, Robyn has led clients through trials, evidentiary hearings, negotiations and high-stakes transactions across industries including finance, healthcare, hospitality, real estate, manufacturing, insurance, and entertainment. She represents Chapter 11 debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, Chapter 7 and 11 trustees, creditors’ committees, purchasers of bankruptcy estate assets, and corporate clients —bringing practical solutions and strategic, results-oriented guidance to each matter.

Clients rely on Robyn not only for her legal acumen, but for her practical approach, clear communication and steadfast advocacy every step of the way.

Experience

Robyn has served as lead counsel in scores of trials, evidentiary hearings, and contested matters in bankruptcy courts nationwide. Her work includes negotiating, drafting, analyzing, and reviewing loan documents; real and personal property leases; purchase agreements; and licensing agreements.

She has successfully restructured and reorganized individuals and businesses involved in retail, entertainment, golf, hospitality, real estate, restaurants and healthcare.

Robyn also represents Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 trustees, where her strategic counsel has resulted in significant returns to creditors. In one recent matter, she transformed a "no-asset" Chapter 7 case into a recovery of tens of millions of dollars after obtaining a judgment unwinding an intricate network of intentionally defective grantor trusts, LLCs and corporations designed to conceal assets.

She is frequently engaged as special litigation counsel to Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 trustees, pursuing causes of action to enhance creditor recoveries. As special litigation counsel to a Chapter 11 trustee in a major real-estate bankruptcy, she filed approximately 165 adversary proceedings that generated nearly $8 million in cash for the estate, resulting in judgments totaling almost $40 million, and secured roughly $27 million in claim waivers — substantially reducing the creditor pool and enabling a meaningful distribution to unsecured creditors.

Her efficient, focused litigation strategy prioritizes her clients’ objectives and supports productive case resolution.
