He supports clients with a broad range of international trade matters, including customs compliance, tariff mitigation strategies, foreign trade zones, country of origin analysis, and trade risk management. Matthew works closely with attorneys and clients to conduct in-depth regulatory and data analysis, research complex trade issues, evaluate compliance requirements, interpret trade regulations, and assess trade-related risks. He translates detailed findings into practical recommendations that support business objectives while maintaining compliance with evolving U.S. trade laws and regulations.
Prior to joining the firm, Matthew supported international trade matters in consulting, corporate, and government roles. His experience includes advising on trade compliance and regulatory strategy, managing a portfolio of international trade risk initiatives for a global technology company, including cross-border expansion efforts involving financial process design, compliance system implementation, and regulatory execution, and supporting antidumping and countervailing duty (AD/CVD) investigations for the U.S. Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration. His experience working across the public and private sectors provides valuable perspective on the regulatory and operational challenges organizations face in today's global marketplace.
