Overview

Julia assists families and individuals in all aspects of estate planning. From drafting complex trust agreements to managing gift transactions and reporting requirements to the IRS, Julia helps clients realize their succession planning and charitable giving goals. Julia also has experience in probate court and handling trust administrations.

Prior to law school, Julia worked in the field of philanthropy, securing funding for education nonprofits from foundations, individuals and corporations. This experience gives her a unique perspective into the many facets of financial planning and allows her to better serve the needs of her clients.

Through her clerkship with Judge Lisa Hayne of Minnesota District Court, Julia gained valuable insight into probate, guardianship and conservatorship matters. She also served as a summer associate with the firm. As a former student director in the University of Minnesota Law School’s Federal Immigration Litigation Clinic, Julia is dedicated to maintaining a strong pro bono practice and represents clients in asylum and naturalization proceedings.
