Iain represents clients in commercial real estate transactions including purchases and sales, leasing transactions, commercial development and real estate lending.

Overview

Iain focuses the majority of his practice on the financing of affordable housing projects and construction loans. He also regularly acts as local counsel providing opinions on various real estate matters.

Experience

Iain represented the lead lender and administrative agent in a $24 million hotel development project in downtown Minneapolis.

He also represented the lender in a $25 million project involving low-income housing tax credits, federal historic tax credits, state historic tax credits, municipal bonds, public agency grants and conventional loan financing.

Iain represented a NYSE publically traded REIT in all stages of the acquisition of a resort.

He has also represented a REIT, headquartered in New York, in the acquisition of triple-net retail leases throughout the nation.

Iain has assisted a developer in all stages of the acquisition and development of a boutique hotel and residential condominium on Lake Minnetonka.

He has also assisted a national retailer in the acquisition and development of stores across the nation.

Iain currently represents a national homebuilder in the acquisition and development of single-family homes, townhomes and condominiums.
