Overview

Dwight brings deep experience and strategic vision to complex transactions across the construction and energy industries. 

He helps clients adapt to changing business, government policy and legal landscapes, and takes a strategic approach to guiding clients to better take advantage of opportunities and manage evolving risks.

Dwight has over three decades of experience, including serving as general counsel of a top-25 builder, developer and engineering services provider. He not only led the legal department, but also supported the full range of the company's businesses, including its sports, wind, solar, government contracting and manufacturing businesses. He has negotiated agreements for high profile projects, supported the pursuit and performance of work with units of government at all levels, guided the establishment of new businesses, helped establish and maintain a successful compliance program, and provided internal and industry-wide advice and counsel on topics involving virtual design and construction.

Experience

Dwight has in-depth experience working with construction contractors on matters involving energy projects, large and highly-visible sports stadiums and arenas, other large commercial projects, and a broad range of public projects. He is well-versed in matters concerning the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), focusing on helping clients manage their risk and comply with requirements for IRA tax credits involving prevailing wage, apprenticeship and domestic content requirements. Dwight also supported a large building controls contractor and has experience delivering engineering services. He is a licensed professional engineer.
