Carissa helps employers navigate complex workplace issues by analyzing the legal and practical considerations that matter most to them.
Overview
Carissa supports clients with a wide range of labor and employment matters, including assisting with litigating disputes and counseling clients on compliance with state and federal employment laws. Prior to entering the legal profession, Carissa was a librarian, manager and administrator in public and academic libraries in Minnesota and North Dakota. Her management experience allows her to anticipate employers’ practical needs in addition to their legal concerns.
Prior to joining Stinson as an associate attorney, Carissa was a summer associate at the firm. She also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Eric C. Tostrud and the Honorable Jerry W. Blackwell of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, and as a law clerk for the Minneapolis Public Housing Authority.
