Andy represents businesses and individuals in complex litigation matters in the areas of environmental energy and health care law.

Andy provides clear communication and attentive service along the way, involving clients at key decision points so they can continue to focus on their business priorities.

Clients value Andy's sound judgment and experience when handling litigation matters. He has defended clients in numerous high-stakes proceedings before state and federal courts, administrative tribunals and arbitration panels throughout the Midwest.


Andy's recent litigation experience includes matters involving environmental torts and class action defense, natural resource damages, environmental review and historic preservation.

Andy has defended railroads, transportation companies and a variety of manufacturers in cost recovery and enforcement matters involving CERCLA, MERLA, RCRA, the Clean Water Act and the Oil Pollution Act, among others.

Andy has also defended health care, technology and insurance companies in litigation involving the False Claims Act.

Andy has represented energy companies in litigation and arbitration related to power purchase agreements supply agreements and other business and contract litigation.

Andy previously served as an assistant attorney general in the Minnesota Attorney General's Office, where he represented the State of Minnesota in trial and appellate litigation. Following law school, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable John R. Tunheim, U.S. District Judge in the District of Minnesota.
