Overview
Abby focuses her practice on litigation, drawing on experience in trial and transactional settings. She brings a detail-oriented and analytical approach to her work, supported by strong research and writing skills developed through internships and clerkships in both state and government offices.
Abby has experience assisting clients in a variety of litigation matters, including those involving financial services, real estate, and products liability. Abby has assisted clients across all stages of litigation, including legal research, document review, motion practice, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
Prior to joining Stinson, Abby served as a summer associate in the firm's St. Louis office, where she drafted memoranda, assisted in preparing motions and briefs, and observed depositions.
Experience
- Assisted title companies and mortgage lenders in defending litigation involving fraud, breach of contract, negligence, and other commercial and real estate-related claims.
- Conducted legal research and analysis on a broad range of litigation issues for a flavor manufacturing company.
- Supported a national financial institution in responding to a government subpoena.
- Managed and led document review projects for clients across multiple industries, including financial services, government contracting, real estate, and products liability.
- Drafted pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents in complex products liability matters involving asbestos exposure and toxic flavoring chemicals.
Pro Bono
- Contributed to case review and legal research for the Missouri Innocence Project, assisting in the evaluation of wrongful conviction claims and post-conviction advocacy efforts.
- Supported the Survivor Reentry Project by working on cases focused on helping survivors navigate legal barriers to successful reentry, conducting legal research, case analysis, and client advocacy in support of reintegration and access to justice.
