Stinson’s 2024 Momentum and 2025 Growth Plans Spotlighted in The American Lawyer

In The American Lawyer article, "Focusing on ‘Day-to-Day,’ Stinson Eclipsed $300M in Revenue," Managing Partner Allison Murdock reflects on the firm’s strong financial performance in 2024, including significant year over year increases in gross revenue, revenue per lawyer and profits per equity partner, and its plans for continued growth in 2025.

Murdock highlights the increased demand across several practice areas, including class action defense, bankruptcy and real estate. She also noted that corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions saw an uptick following a slower 2023.

"We were pleased with the result. We did not anticipate that would be the result last year," she said. "But for us doing the day-to-day right, whether it’s growth, business hygiene, how we serve our clients, making sure we’re operating in a profitable way and doing profitable matter management, doing all the fundamentals correctly—that will result in all of those numbers."

Looking ahead to 2025, Murdock shared that the firm is focused on building its presence in recently opened offices in California and Florida.

The feature follows an earlier American Lawyer article titled "With Second Hundred Firms Planting New Flags, Stinson Adds Los Angeles to the Map," in which Murdock discussed the firm’s recent expansion into California and how the new office supports Stinson’s long-term growth strategy. She shared that the firm has long-served clients in the state.

"It’s not any one industry necessarily. But we have found that clients can use us in California because we know their business, we know their operations, and we have competitive rates that allow us to practice effectively," Murdock said.

As Stinson’s managing partner, Murdock has ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the firm’s operations and performance, including development and implementation of the firm’s strategic initiatives. Her focus is on leading and growing a client-focused and community-engaged firm. Murdock is also a member of Stinson’s board of directors and executive committee.
