Stinson Honored with Midwest Innocence Project Freedom Award

Stinson LLP has been awarded the Freedom Award by the Midwest Innocence Project. The award recognizes the firm's dedication to providing pro bono legal services and creating justice for individuals who have been wrongfully convicted.

Their attorneys are dedicated to not only supporting and empowering individuals who have been wrongfully convicted but also to changing the system to prevent future injustices," Midwest Innocence Project Executive Director Tricia Rojo Bushnell said. "We are immensely grateful for their partnership and proud to honor such an outstanding law firm."

For over two decades, Stinson has been a steadfast supporter of the Midwest Innocence Project, contributing over 12,000 hours of pro bono legal services to nearly 50 Midwest Innocence Project post-conviction investigation and litigation matters. The firm remains committed to its ongoing work in criminal justice reform, as well as to the advancement and protection of the civil and human rights of low-income and vulnerable individuals, families and communities.

The firm was honored with the 2024 Freedom Award at the Midwest Innocence Project Faces of Innocence event on June 5, 2024.
