Stinson Construction Litigators Named Pro Bono Champions by KCMBA

Press Release
05.09.2023

Stinson Partner Brian Sobczyk, attorney Ethan Sanders and retired partner Sherman Botts are recognized as the May 2023 Pro Bono Champions by the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCMBA) and Legal Aid of Western Missouri (LAWMO) as part of the Project Pro Bono program initiative. The attorneys are recognized for their work representing clients in construction-related civil litigation.

"At its core, pro bono work is about serving others and making our world a better place, and by providing legal representation to those who might not be able to afford it, we can help to level the playing field and promote fairness and equity in our community," Sanders commented. "I'm proud to be a part of that effort here in Kansas City."

Project Pro Bono is a partnership between KCMBA and LAWMO with the purpose of encouraging law firms to help expand the availability of pro bono legal services. Stinson attorneys have contributed nearly 200 hours to this matter.

Sanders assists clients with commercial business litigation and construction law matters, concentrating on complex matters in both state and federal courts, arbitrations and mediations.

Sobczyk has over 20 years of experience litigating commercial and construction disputes, and regularly drafts and negotiates construction contracts for all types and sizes of projects.
