Stinson Advances Eight Spots in 2022 American Lawyer Pro Bono Rankings

Press Release
07.19.2022

Stinson LLP is pleased to announce that The American Lawyer ranks the firm No. 52 on its 2022 Pro Bono Scorecard, a national pro bono ranking of the country's 200 highest-grossing law firms, with an overall pro bono score of 49.9.

The American Lawyer ranks the Am Law 200 by their pro bono score for work performed by U.S.-based attorneys. Half of the score comes from the average number of pro bono hours per attorney in 2021; the other half represents the percentage of attorneys who performed more than 20 hours of pro bono work in 2021.

Last year, Stinson attorneys donated on average 47 hours to pro bono legal work, with nearly 53% of attorneys donating at least 20 hours to pro bono work.

"Pro bono is a core value of our firm and our pro bono work gives us the opportunity to share our time and talent with those most in need in our communities," Stinson Managing Partner Allison Murdock said. "I am grateful for the generous donation of time and commitment our attorneys devoted to pro bono in 2021, and as a firm, we look forward to the continued opportunity to serve the legal needs of our communities and our pro bono clients."

Stinson's pro bono program is driven by the firm's Pro Bono Committee and implemented by Pro Bono Director Theresa Hughes and Senior Pro Bono Manager Katie Cronin. The firm's strategic plan expects all partners to contribute to the firm's pro bono legal work and community service.
