Stephanie Scheck Shares Career Journey, Offers Guidance and Insight in Women's History Month Q&A with The Legal Intelligencer

Stinson LLP Partner Stephanie Scheck is featured in a Q&A with The Legal Intelligencer, "Women's History Month Spotlight: 'Be Passionate. Be Inquisitive. Be Yourself.'"

Scheck discusses her experiences as a woman in the legal profession, including overcoming challenges and supporting other women in the industry. She also highlights the firm's commitment to women's advancement, and shares insights on mentorship and navigating the legal field.

"Be passionate. Be inquisitive. Be yourself," Scheck says. "A legal career can be demanding and stressful, but if you love what you are doing, have a thirst for knowledge, and are true to yourself, it is such a rewarding, honorable and fulfilling profession."

Scheck also spotlights significant mentors throughout the years, including Stinson Managing Partner Allison Murdock, whose advice and leadership continuously inform Scheck's approach to leadership. "It's an honor to have her as a mentor in this stage of my career, where I am navigating various decisions within my leadership roles," she said.

Scheck's practice focuses on employment litigation and providing employment counseling on a variety of complex issues. She specializes in representing clients in Affirmative Action Plan audits and administrative claims before the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs and often represents companies in high-stakes internal investigations. Scheck utilizes her experience to serve as lead labor and employment specialty counsel in transactions involving mergers and acquisitions, as well as to advise on public company board of directors' diversity and environmental, social and governance matters.
