Macumber Spotlighted by Wichita Business Journal's Young Professionals Series

Press Release
10.06.2026

Stinson LLP attorney Alexa Macumber was highlighted by the Wichita Business Journal in the September 2026 installment of its "Young Professionals" series. The series highlights emerging professionals in Wichita and their contributions to their organizations and the broader business community.

In the profile, Macumber traces her interest in the law to a high school summer camp sponsored in part by the International Justice Mission, where she learned that law and policy could have a real, tangible impact on people's lives. She also reflects on the mentors who encouraged her, including her high school debate coach, her college moot court and mock trial coach, and a professional mentor who helped her navigate firm culture after law school. Her work in Stinson's business litigation practice is a demanding mix of research, drafting and courtroom advocacy, and she says that challenge is what keeps her drawn to the profession.

"I remain committed to litigation because of its profound intellectual challenge," she said. "Every case is a unique puzzle, and successfully advocating for clients in high-stakes situations gives me a deep sense of purpose."

Macumber is a member of Stinson's Litigation Associates Group and focuses her practice on business litigation. She combines sharp analytical skills with a collaborative, client-focused approach, and works to provide practical solutions tailored to each client's needs. Before joining Stinson, she clerked for the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas. She also served as a judicial intern for the Norfolk, Virginia Circuit Court.
