Hueneger & Gassen Recognized by Missouri Lawyers with Up & Coming Awards

Stinson LLP Partner Jenna Hueneger and attorney Austin Gassen have been recognized by Missouri Lawyers Media as part of their 2026 "Up & Coming" annual awards, which honors attorneys 40 years or younger or who have practiced for less than 10 years. Hueneger was one of 48 attorneys recognized for excellence in work, leadership and community service, and Gassen was celebrated in the mentor category for personifying the trajectory of the Up & Coming honorees.

Hueneger's practice centers on complex acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and financing transactions for public companies, privately held businesses and financial institutions throughout the country. She regularly serves as lead counsel on transactions involving substantial enterprise value and works closely with executive leadership teams to help clients achieve strategic growth objectives. Beyond her practice, Hueneger serves on the CASA of St. Louis Young Professionals Board, supporting the organization's mission to recruit, train and support Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) who advocate for children experiencing abuse or neglect as they navigate the foster care system. She also handles pro bono matters through Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, where her efforts were recognized with the prestigious John R. Essner Young Lawyer Award for Pro Bono Work.

Gassen advises clients on employment matters, specifically employer-side litigation and investigations matters. He has helped employers investigate, respond to, and defend against allegations of discrimination, retaliation, whistleblowing, and Fair Labor Standards Act and Family Medical Leave Act violations. Gassen is also involved in the firm's pro bono efforts where he represents clients challenging federal and state statutes, seeking redress for the violation of their constitutional rights, and navigating the immigration system.
