Stinson Partner Brittany Barrientos recently sat down with Missouri Lawyers Weekly for a segment on Stinson's involvement with Election Protection, a national nonpartisan coalition dedicated to ensuring all voters have an equal opportunity to vote. Brittany shared her experience leading Stinson's virtual call center during the August 4 Missouri and Kansas primaries and answering questions from voters in both states. She highlighted the ability for attorneys across offices to virtually participate in the call center this year, answering questions related to voter registration, polling locations, COVID-19 considerations and more.

All Stinson volunteers participated in a training on Missouri and Kansas election law prior to this year's primaries. Attorneys will be participating again on November 3 for the general election, though voters from all 50 states can reach out to Election Protection at 1-866-OUR-VOTE 365 days a year to be connected to a trained volunteer who can answer voting-related questions.

When she's not answering voter calls, Brittany assists clients with environmental, health and safety regulatory requirements arising under the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, solid and hazardous waste laws, OSHA and state and local environmental regulations. She has worked extensively with manufacturers, municipalities and clients in the chemical, manufacturing and real estate industries. She is also a member of the COVID-19 Task Force and counsels clients extensively on safe workplace practices, OSHA requirements and CDC recommendations.
