Lowell has become the trusted advisor to individuals, charitable organizations and other business who care about achieving their estate planning, charitable and business goals in a tax-efficient manner. In that role Lowell finds himself working very closely and collaboratively with his clients' broader service team, including investment and insurance advisors, bankers and trust officers, and allied tax professionals. He also advises nonprofit organizations on donor gift programs and nonprofit governance and corporate issues. Lowell has been very active in providing legal advice and business counsel to many charities serving those in need in the Twin Cities community and beyond.
Lowell prides himself in helping clients solve disputes short of litigation but as necessary assists individuals, banks and trust companies in complex trust and estate litigation matters.
Lowell has served as adjunct professor of estate planning at University of Minnesota Law School, Hamline University School of Law and University of St. Thomas School of Law.
