Focused on environmental compliance, enforcement and clean up, Sarah defends agency enforcement actions, negotiating consent decrees resolving complex enforcement actions and cleanup issues.

Sarah has represented chemical and food manufacturers, aviation manufacturers, electric and gas utilities, pipelines, retailers, financial institutions and real estate companies in all aspects of environmental law, including Superfund, RCRA, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act and EPCRA. Before private practice, Sarah was Associate Regional Counsel in EPA Region 7, protecting the environment in our nation's heartland and garnering valuable perspectives. She draws on this experience in representing clients in environmental investigations and enforcement actions.


Sarah is known for her extensive experience with large, multi-source Superfund sites and sites involving complex vapor intrusion issues.

She defends agency enforcement actions, including successfully negotiating consent decrees resolving complex enforcement actions and cleanup issues.

Sarah has extensive experience, under both RCRA and CERCLA, at sites involving manufactured gas plant waste, solvent-contaminated groundwater, PCB disposal, asbestos and lead.

She has successfully defended clients in enforcement actions under the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, RCRA and TSCA.

Sarah has advised and defended clients on a wide range of compliance issues, including Clean Air Act new source review, hazardous waste management, refrigerant management, NPDES permitting and compliance, lead paint and responding to accidental releases.

She has assisted clients on environmental compliance auditing and development of environmental management systems.

Sarah has counseled clients in real estate transactions and in corporate mergers and acquisitions.
