Overview
Robert advises real estate developers and investors on their real estate and corporate transactions. He represents clients in the initial stages of structuring their entities and arranging their capital stack for development projects all the way through buying, closing and ramping-up.
Robert advises multi-family developers in the structuring and capital components of their projects, as well as acquiring the real estate and financing for their developments. He also represents clients in the lodging, hospitality, recreational and experiential industries in buying, selling, leasing, developing and financing their projects.
Experience
Represented the purchaser and developer of a multimillion dollar in-ground cold storage facility involving an equity raise and construction financing.
Represented the borrower of approximately $70 million in construction financing and private equity for construction of a 300+ unit multi-family project.
Represented the borrower of $50 million in CMBS financing and $20 million in private equity financing for a 100+ unit multi-family project.
Represented the purchaser of two historical museum attractions involving immersive experiences and the leaseback of the same by the operator.
Represented the purchaser of a project to be developed into a RV park and lodge with a nationally known theme.
Represents a client in a ground lease acquisition and leaseback model providing capital for development projects.
Served as lead counsel for the acquisition of the real estate for the City Museum property in St. Louis, Missouri.
Represented the purchaser in the acquisition and lease of a hot springs resort expanding over multiple parcels and requiring rights from various parties in order to operate
Served as lead counsel to the purchaser of a large East Coast ski resort in its acquisition of the ski, golf, retail and residential areas.
Represented the purchaser of a portfolio of waterpark properties and the subsequent lease of each property to a new national operator.
Represented the owner of waterparks in the renegotiation of multiple leases upon a sale of the leases from one operator to a nationally recognized operator.
Represented a publicly traded specialty real estate investment trust in the handling of its education portfolio including early education properties, charter school properties and private school properties.
Represents a publicly traded specialty real estate investment trust in the handling of its recreational assets including ski areas and waterparks.
Served as counsel to a publicly traded specialty real estate investment trust in preparation of program structure documentation for developers and represents the landlord in the leasing and development of early childhood education centers.
Successfully represented the purchaser of over 70 franchise locations and reviewed lease transactions related to the purchase.
Represented the purchaser of triple net leased investment properties, including standalone buildings and in-line shopping centers.
Successfully represented a national association headquartered in St. Louis with respect to the renovation of its headquarters and the financing for such renovations.
Represents a local pizza franchisee in acquisitions of real estate for business growth purposes.
