As an experienced energy attorney, Lisa brings a strategic and targeted approach to each matter.

Overview

Lisa advises clients on a broad spectrum of energy and environmental issues including state and federal laws and regulations related to energy, environmental, regulatory and administrative law matters. She focuses on helping corporate clients navigate the complex landscape of energy law as they work towards their renewable energy goals which can include power purchase agreements, solar and wind project permitting and repowering, electric vehicle infrastructure expansions, and renewable natural gas contracting.

During her time as Assistant Attorney General with the Minnesota Attorney General's Office, Lisa represented state agencies and commissions for over 15 years including the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission.  In this role, she also litigated complex energy regulatory disputes in state and federal courts involving oil pipelines, wind and solar developments, transmission lines, distributed generation facilities, and utility rate cases.

Represented corporate clients in renewable energy transactions.

Represented renewable energy developers in transactions and due diligence.

Advised state agency clients in energy and environmental matters and dockets.

Represented state agency clients in state and federal litigation and appeals, state and federal administrative regulatory proceedings, and other matters.

Handled administrative cases on behalf of the state including Minnesota Administrative Procedure Act, open meeting laws, and Minnesota Government Data Practices Act.

Advised on regulatory rate cases, wind and solar developments, renewable energy mandates, community solar gardens, nuclear plant storage facilities and resource planning.

Assisted the Minnesota Attorney General with investigations and other consumer-focused matters.
