Lindsay helps clients structure their products and programs to comply with financial regulations, offering creative solutions to legal problems and developing compliance plans.
Lindsay advises banking and financial services clients on various financial regulatory matters that affect their businesses. She analyzes legal issues and helps clients structure their fintech, payments and banking products and platforms in compliance with state and federal law.
Lindsay provides legal counsel on payments-related issues involving card and ACH payments, payment plans, emerging payment arrangements, and treasury management services. In addition to her regulatory and payments experience, Lindsay's work includes drafting consumer-facing terms and conditions, legally required consumer disclosures, treasury management agreements, and business-to-business financial services contracts.
Focused on consumer financial law, Lindsay has significant knowledge of surcharge restrictions under state law and card network rules, state and federal law affecting installment payment plans, and the CFPB's Prepaid Accounts Rule.
Lindsay has experience with bank and bank holding company transactions, including the negotiation, drafting, and regulatory filing processes.
She belongs to the firm's CFPB Response Team, a cross-disciplinary group with deep experience in banking, CFPB compliance, arbitration and class action litigation.
Committed to her profession, Lindsay frequently speaks and writes for industry and professional organizations.
