Lauren focuses her practice on complex litigation matters, including antitrust, products liability, employment, insurance, and general business litigation.
Overview
Lauren excelled as the student director of the Insurance Law Clinic at the University of Minnesota Law School, where she represented policyholders during all stages of a claim or dispute with an insurer. In addition, Lauren served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Daniel D. Crabtree of the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas and the Honorable Becky R. Thorson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota.
Lauren is committed to pro bono work and was one of the recipients of the firm’s 2019 Pro Bono Impact Award for her contributions on a team representing a survivor of human trafficking.
Experience
Lauren has significant experience in all phases of litigation, including discovery and motions practice in state and federal court.
As part of her insurance practice, Lauren evaluates corporations’ insurance portfolios, including analyzing commercial general liability, directors & officers liability, and errors & omissions liability policies, to counsel companies on their potential exposures and risks.
In law school, Lauren successfully resolved a dispute between a homeowner and her insurer after a catastrophic fire, and worked with the Minnesota Department of Commerce to draft new insurance legislation.
